Visiting Gillespie County, Joseph Kopser Continues First in a Generation District-Wide Town Hall Tour in TX-21

(Fredericksburg, TX) — Joseph Kopser, candidate for TX-21, will visit Fredericksburg tomorrow for a town hall with Gillespie County voters.

While Chip Roy follows Congressman Lamar Smith’s lead in avoiding the voters of TX-21, Joseph Kopser is proud to be running a campaign based on accessibility and accountability. Kopser is holding town halls in every county in the district before the November election. If elected, Joseph pledges to spend a significant amount of time meeting with his constituents in TX-21.

“The reason people lose faith in the political process is a lack of transparency; people want to know what their Representatives are doing.” Joseph Kopser said. “I’ve said from day one that I want to be as open and transparent as possible, which is why I’m inviting Chip Roy to join me at any of our eight remaining town halls–we’d be happy to turn them into free and open, non-partisan public debates. I’ll also work with him to schedule debates in Kerr and Kendall counties, where we’ve already had town halls. The citizens of TX-21 deserve to hear from their candidates in all ten counties, and I’m going to do everything I can to make that happen.” Kopser also invited Roy to debate him via Twitter.

Tomorrow’s town hall will be the third of ten during the general election. Kopser held a town hall with Kendall County voters in June, and a similar event with Kerrville voters in July. Details of tomorrow’s event are below:

Joseph Kopser is a 20-year Army veteran, technology entrepreneur, husband and father of three daughters, and Democratic nominee for Congress in TX-21. His candidacy is driven by concern for the future of our country and the path Washington leadership is taking. He is building a new coalition of voters who believe the values, priorities, and expectations of Texas’ 21st congressional district will serve as a model of service and representation for Texas and the United States.
