Joseph Kopser Welcomes Chip Roy to TX-21

(Blanco, TX) — Today, Joseph Kopser’s campaign in TX-21 released the following statement today about Chip Roy’s upcoming 21-stop tour.

“After spending two decades playing partisan games and swimming in the Washington Swamp, Chip Roy ought to rename his tour the ‘Welcome to Texas Tour,” said Kopser.

“It’s great that Chip Roy finally wants to meet the people he’s running to represent, and we encourage voters to welcome Chip and introduce him to the issues they care about.

“I know firsthand that people are hungry for a leader who will put partisan politics aside to focus on actually solving big problems and doing what is right for Texas. That’s exactly what we did in the military and in business — brought people together to get the job done — and that’s what I’ll do in Congress.”

Roy recently laid out a description of Washington insiders in his own words. “People get into Washington and they get neck deep in the swamp and just start swimming instead of getting themselves out of the swamp. I’ve seen it firsthand. I’ve had more experience in Washington than I care to have had, which is ironic given what I’m running for.”

Kopser agrees. “It is ironic. Chip seems awful anxious to get back home to DC.”

Joseph Kopser is a 20-year Army veteran, technology entrepreneur, husband and father of three daughters, and Democratic nominee for Congress in TX-21. His candidacy is driven by concern for the future of our country and the path Washington leadership is taking. He is building a new coalition of voters who believe the values, priorities, and expectations of Texas’ 21st congressional district will serve as a model of service and representation for Texas and the United States.
