Roundtable on Education and Workforce Development Hosted by Joseph Kopser

(San Marcos, TX) — This Wednesday, Joseph Kopser will convene Hays County community leaders for a roundtable conversation on education and workforce development. Kopser, an Army veteran and businessman who spent five years teaching at the university level, will sit down with education specialists, job corps representatives, business leaders, students, and former elected officials to discuss the rapid economic growth along the I-35 corridor and its effects on workforce development.

Kopser has made jobs and education a central piece of his campaign, and has often said that one of his first legislative priorities if elected will be a 21st Century Jobs Act. Although he has experience in many aspects of this issue–having taught at the college level, created jobs with his business, raised three daughters through the pubic school system, and funded girls’ STEM programming–this roundtable will be an opportunity to gain valuable insight from subject matter experts currently engaged in the field.
